Mr. Kassoum Coulibaly is an economist, a strategist, an intellectual and social entrepreneur motivated and committed for the global economic progress, the global sustainable development and the universal peace promotion with more than 15 years working experience with Youth and Women across Africa and the World. He is now dedicating all his life for the promotion of and protection of Women’s Rights, Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women Worldwide.
He has worked for several United Nations (UN) organizations like UNESCO, UNDP, UNV and UNCTAD as Consultant and Project Associate in Africa. And also engaged with some famous global organizations like the International Association of Students in Economics and Commerce (AIESEC) and Junior Chamber International (JCI) where he holds leadership positions in the past.
As an Economic Freedom Fighter (EFF), Mr. Coulibaly is also currently supporting the promotion of entrepreneurship among Youth and Women organizations for more than ten (10) years) in the issues of information and communication, education and training, technical assistance and consulting, studies and research.
In 2015-2016, he has been selected as one of the UN Women’s Empower Women Program Global Champion for Women’s Economic Empowerment (WEE) where he demonstrated his ability in supporting rural women entrepreneurs. In 2016-2017, he is currently one of the UN Women’s Empower Women Program Mentor in the Business Development Group (BDG).
Mr. Coulibaly is the Founder, President and CEO of the Global Institute for Women’s Empowerment Group (GIWE GROUP), a member of MenEngage Global Alliance and also the National Coordinator of MenEngage Network Mali. He is also a UN Women’s HeForShe Initiative Member.
He is also the Co-Founder of the African Development Group (ADG), the African Mining Alliance (AMA), the Alliance for African Renaissance (ARA) and the African Youth Center (AYC).
He obtained an Associate’s Degree in Economics and Development at the University of Bouaké (Côte d’Ivoire), Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in Management at the University of Bamako (Mali) in 2000. He also obtained a Postgraduate Diploma in Human Rights from the Centre Universitaire Henry Dunant (CUHD) in Geneva (Switzerland) in 2008, a Certificate in Mineral Policy and Contract Negotiation from the University of Johannesburg (UJ) in South Africa in 2013 and a Certificate in Business and Human Rights at the University of Pretoria (UP) in South Africa.

As a researcher and motivational speaker, Dr Al Yahyai is an academic expert in women rights in Oman and GCC. She played a significant role in improving national polices related to women rights in Oman from 2004 to 2011.
During her role as the Minister of Social Development, Dr Al Yahyai had an important role in the history of Omani Women which resulted in designating October 17th as the Omani Women’s Day by His Majesty, the Sultan of Oman.
Since 2004, Dr Al Yahyai has been participating actively in a number of national and international conventions related women’s empowerment, child rights, civil society and the overall social development. She presented a number of papers on women’s empowerment, leadership and examining legislation and practice in Oman in national and international conferences. On the policy-making level in Oman, she was appointed as a board member in a number of national councils such as the Higher Education Council, The Research Council, headed the National Committee of Family Affairs, and the UN CEDAW Committee. Most importantly, Dr Al Yahyai has been awarded the Arab Woman Award from Arab Women Studies Centre in 2008 and Civil Ordinance of Oman – Class II in 2005.
During her academic role in Sultan Qaboos University prior to being a Minister of Social Development, she published a number of studies relevant to gulf literature, Omani poems and women’s social and cultural values. From 2001 – 2004 she was a Professor in the Department of Arabic Literature in Sultan Qaboos University and currently a visiting lecturer in College of Arts & Social Sciences.
Dr Al Yahyai holds PhD in Middle Eastern Studies from University of Leeds, UK and MA in Modern Arabic Literature from Sultan Qaboos University, Sultanate of Oman.

Fatimata N. Traoré, native of the Republic of Mali, West Africa, attended Lycée Technique, and L’Ecole National d’Administration. She arrived in New York City with plans to study architecture, began to work as a natural African Hair Braider.
She is licensed as a professional hair braider teacher of the profession by the Illinois Department of Financial & Professional Regulation. Ms. Traore is President of the Illinois Association of Hair Braiders (IAHB), member of the African Political Action Committee (APAC), and board member of the Association of Malians and friends of Mali in Chicago (AMAMAC). She also is a board member of Mali Non Profit Relief Fund that help raise funds for civilians in the war zone of Mali.
Ms. Traore, still wants to pursue her dream as an architect. In the meantime, she is working on opening the first african hair braiding school in Illinois to empower all braiders and to implement into after school programs to boost black girls confidence.
